The Community was busy over the weekend. One specific individual, Tristian7Fire, decided to model a Roman Gladius. The Roman Gladius is the primary weapon used during the reign of Imperial Rome. Roman Infantry Shield

We have something that I think you will be very excited to see. We have completed modeling a Roman Infantry Shield. Used by the core infantry in the Roman Army, this large wooden shield, trimmed with metal, could be used to cover most of the body and part of the sides. Held by just a handle in the center of the shield, the metal hemisphere petruding from the front of the shield made an excellent tool to punch with. Ben Weldon modeled and Tristian7Fire textured for us a Roman Pilum. This spear, made of a wood handle with a precise metal spear point on the end was used by the Roman Army as a standard weapon.
